This policy explains what information Trickle ("we", "us"), available at https://playtrickle.net, collects and how it is used. The short version: there are no accounts, your game progress stays on your device, the leaderboard stores the name you choose and your scores, and ads are provided by Google.
No accounts
Trickle does not ask you to sign up or log in. We don't collect your real name, email address, phone number or payment details through the game.
Information stored on your device
Trickle uses your browser's local storage to save your game on your own device. That includes your bankroll, bet and risk settings, statistics, achievements, chosen chip skin and board theme, sound setting, daily reset counts, the leaderboard name you entered and a random identifier used to keep your leaderboard entries together. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us, except for the leaderboard data described below. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. Doing so resets your progress.
The game may also store a small offline copy of its own files (a service worker cache) so it loads quickly and works offline.
Leaderboard
If you choose to enter a name, Trickle sends that name to our leaderboard server, along with your banked bankroll, your biggest hit, a few game numbers used to check that scores are legitimate (such as your peak bankroll and largest bet), and the random identifier mentioned above. Leaderboard names and scores are public and visible to anyone who opens the leaderboard. Please don't use your real full name or any personal information as your player name. We may remove names that are offensive or inappropriate. If you play without a name, no scores are sent.
The leaderboard is hosted by our hosting provider, Netlify. Like most web hosts, Netlify may process standard technical data such as IP addresses in server logs to deliver and secure the site.
Advertising and cookies
Trickle uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners, as third-party vendors, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

Children
Trickle is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has entered personal information as a leaderboard name, contact us and we will remove it.

- Play without a name to keep your scores off the leaderboard.
- Clear this site's data in your browser to erase everything stored on your device.
- Contact us to ask for your leaderboard name and scores to be removed.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
